In the Kazaly district of the Kyzylorda region, a kindergarten accountant is suspected of embezzling more than 21.5 million tenge of budget funds. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the regional prosecutor's office, over four years the kindergarten accountant unjustifiably transferred additional funds to her bank accounts in amounts exceeding the salary approved in the staffing schedule.
"A criminal case has been opened on the fact of 'Embezzlement of entrusted property on an especially large scale,' provided for by subparagraph 2) of part 4 of Article 189 of the Criminal Code," the prosecutor's office wrote.
A pre-trial investigation is currently underway.
