In Kentau, Turkestan region, police officers detained participants of a motorcade organized by graduates. They violated traffic rules. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
"As a result of the inspection, it was established that drivers of BMW, Toyota, Mercedes-Benz, Changan, Chevrolet and Hyundai cars committed traffic violations. In particular, facts of violation of passenger transportation rules, non-use of seat belts, as well as non-compliance with maneuvering requirements were recorded. Based on these facts, administrative measures were taken against the drivers, and the vehicles were placed in a specialized parking lot," the police noted.
In addition, police officers held preventive conversations with graduates and their parents, reminding them of the need to comply with traffic rules, public order and legal requirements.
This incident once again raises the issue of dangerous motorcades that have become a tradition among graduates in Kentau. Every year after graduation parties, young people parade expensive foreign cars through the city streets, grossly violating traffic rules. The police warn that such actions can have serious consequences.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan conducts regular raids to ensure road safety and prevent offenses. Parents and school administration need to instill a sense of responsibility in graduates. In this case, thanks to the prompt actions of the police, serious incidents were avoided, but joint efforts of society are needed to prevent such processions from recurring.
