President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received the head of the administration of the President of Uzbekistan, Saida Mirziyoyeva. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The head of state noted that he considers her visit important for the further development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. According to Tokayev, the presidential administrations in the political systems of the two countries play a significant role, so he supports active working contacts between them.

"The closer we interact with each other, the better for ensuring stability in Central Asia and strengthening regional cooperation, since both Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are large states in a number of indicators. Our countries are now at a decisive stage of their development. We need peace and security. Only under these conditions can we successfully carry out reforms," Tokayev said.

The president also emphasized the importance of developing digitalization and artificial intelligence. He recalled his working visit to Bukhara, during which he familiarized himself with Uzbekistan's achievements in a number of industries, including artificial intelligence and digitalization.

"The world is rapidly moving towards the development of artificial intelligence, and we must be ready to keep pace with the current era," Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stressed.

In addition, the head of state conveyed warm wishes to the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Saida Mirziyoyeva thanked Tokayev for the opportunity to meet and conveyed greetings from the President of Uzbekistan. According to her, Shavkat Mirziyoyev attaches particular importance to deepening multifaceted interaction with Kazakhstan and keeps a special eye on the implementation of all high-level agreements and joint projects.

"Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are working together for the stability and sustainable development of Central Asia, and this is bearing fruit. Together, we make the voice of our region unified and heard on the global stage. In Uzbekistan, we sincerely welcome all the transformations that are taking place today in brotherly Kazakhstan. During the meeting, the parties discussed further expansion of partnership between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan in trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. They also exchanged views on the political and socio-economic transformations being carried out in the two countries.

Earlier, Kursiv reported that Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will pay an official visit to Brussels on June 22-23. The trip will take place at the invitation of the President of the European Council, Antonio Costa.
