A criminal group transporting weapons and a large sum of money was detained at the Kazakhstan border. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The detained group members had 5 firearms, 2000 rounds of ammunition, and 10 million tenge confiscated. The incident occurred at a checkpoint on the Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan border. Among the suspects are citizens of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
Currently, investigative actions are underway. Work to identify other members of the criminal group continues.
