November in Kazakhstan to be warmer than usual – Kazhydromet forecast

Kazhydromet has presented its weather forecast for November. According to the forecasters, November in most of Kazakhstan is expected to be 1-2 degrees warmer than usual, while in the northwestern part of the country the climate norm is expected. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Unstable weather expected

«Across the territory of Kazakhstan, the weather will be unstable during the month. Precipitation, on some days heavy precipitation, blizzard, wind strengthening, fog and ice are forecast,» specialists say.

First week

In the first week of November, predominantly precipitation-free, relatively warm, and on some days cloudy weather is expected. Only in the northeast and east of the country at the beginning of the month precipitation in the form of rain and snow is expected, with fog possible at night.

Cyclone impact

In the middle of the first ten-day period, under the influence of an active cyclone from the Black Sea regions, precipitation (rain turning to snow) is expected in the western regions of the country. By the end of the ten-day period, precipitation and windy weather are forecast in the rest of the republic as well, with mostly rain in the southern half of Kazakhstan. Fog, ice and wind with gusts up to 15-28 m/s are expected.

Temperature background

Air temperature at the beginning of the month: in the west, southwest, south, southeast of the country during the day +12+22°C; in the north, northwest (Kostanay region), center and east at night fluctuations from -1-8°C to 0,+5°C, during the day +5+13°C.

At the end of the first ten-day period, a decrease in the temperature background is expected in the northern half of the country during the day to 0,+5°C, in the southern half to +8+13°C, in the west to +2+10°C. In the mountainous regions of Kazakhstan, air temperature at night fluctuates from -3+2°C to -5-10°C, during the day +2+10°C is expected.

Second and third ten-day periods

In the second and third ten-day periods of November, a frequently fluctuating temperature background is expected: in the northern half of the country at night from -1-13°C to -3+5°C, during the day from +1+10°C to 0,-5°C; in the southern half at night from 0,-5°C to +2+10°C, during the day from 0,+5°C to +7+15°C. However, on some days in the north, east and center of the country, a decrease in nighttime air temperature to -10-18°C is forecast.
