Karaganda schoolgirl Anna Ragozina has set off for the North Pole as part of the 7th international scientific and educational expedition 'Icebreaker of Knowledge'. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
On August 4, participants of the 7th international scientific and educational expedition 'Icebreaker of Knowledge' set off for the North Pole aboard the nuclear-powered icebreaker '50 Let Pobedy', according to Rosatom in Central Asia.
During the 10-day expedition, schoolchildren from 23 countries will learn about the operation of the icebreaker and study how it breaks through thick layers of ice. They will also attend lectures, master classes, and team-building activities.
Representing Kazakhstan in this expedition is Karaganda schoolgirl Anna Ragozina. According to her, the project provides an opportunity to see the world from a new perspective, meet peers from different countries, and see the Arctic — a unique region of the Earth — with their own eyes.
Over the six seasons of the 'Icebreaker of Knowledge' project, more than 400 schoolchildren from around the world have participated in Arctic expeditions to the North Pole.
