Anna Ragozina, a student from Karaganda, will participate in the 'Icebreaker of Knowledge' expedition. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

The 'Icebreaker of Knowledge' project is being organized for the seventh time with the support of Rosatom, the channel of the state corporation in Central Asia reported.

'I have been inspired by science and discoveries since childhood, so the opportunity to go to the Arctic and learn about nuclear technology is special for me. I am proud to represent Kazakhstan in a project that unites people striving to change the world for the better through knowledge and technology,' said Anna Ragozina.

This year, about 5,000 students from 21 countries applied to participate in the expedition. Kazakhstan led with 945 applications, a record number. 22 teenagers passed the selection — one representative from each participating country.

The 'Icebreaker of Knowledge' scientific and educational project is organized with the support of the Rosatom State Corporation. It aims to promote natural sciences and nuclear industry technologies, identify and support talented children, develop their abilities, and provide career guidance.

Over six seasons of the project, more than 400 talented schoolchildren from around the world have participated in Rosatom's Arctic expeditions to the North Pole.
