A large-scale festive event dedicated to Miner's Day took place in Karaganda. About 250,000 people gathered to enjoy the concert featuring world-famous stars. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
To ensure public order and safety during such a massive event, the work of law enforcement and emergency services was intensified. For the first time in Kazakhstan, a system of dividing the festive area into four sectors was used during such a large-scale event. Each sector was under constant police surveillance. Special corridors were provided between sectors, ensuring unhindered movement of ambulances, rescuers, and other emergency vehicles.
An operational headquarters was established to coordinate the work of all services on the event territory, comprising representatives of the police and other state bodies. To enhance security measures, aerial surveillance of the festive area was conducted. Four unmanned aerial vehicles continuously monitored the concert area and adjacent sites. Drones helped timely identify potentially dangerous situations.
In particular, four people were found climbing onto the roofs of nearby residential buildings. Police officers quickly located them and safely brought them down, preventing accidents.
"During the event, 185 children got lost among the crowd. All of them were taken to a specially organized place. After their identity was established, the children were handed over to their parents. Thus, all children were reunited with their families," said Zhasqairat Kairov, deputy head of the police department of Karaganda region.
Due to a sharp increase in traffic on streets adjacent to the festive area, control over the road situation was strengthened. Police officers regulated traffic, monitored traffic flows, and ensured drivers complied with traffic rules.
