A worker repairing a road in Karaganda was killed after being hit by special equipment. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The incident occurred around 14:30 on July 2. The worker, who was repairing Republic Avenue in Karaganda, died at the scene.
According to police, a 62-year-old employee of a road construction company was reversing special equipment when he struck his 53-year-old colleague.
A criminal case has been opened under Part 3 of Article 156 of the Criminal Code "Violation of labor protection rules resulting in death by negligence".
