In Karaganda, ahead of the Miner's Day celebration, there has been a surge in demand for short-term rental housing in the South-East area. All available daily apartments on Ashimov Street and in nearby residential complexes are fully booked for August 29. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The main reason for the boom is the festive concert on the new square. That evening, Dimash Kudaibergen, Dima Bilan, Kairat Nurtas, Moldanazar, and Dequinne will perform on stage. Housing in buildings with windows overlooking the stage area was snapped up weeks before the event, and booking services now show a "nothing found" status.
The cost of daily rentals near the square ranges from 23,000 to 25,000 tenge per day, but even at this price, there are almost no available options left. Users are actively discussing the shortage. In comments, they joke that renters plan to watch the concert "without leaving home," and also predict the arrival of fans from other cities and countries to see Dimash.
At the same time, some residents express dissatisfaction due to road closures, parking problems, possible crowding, and the fact that the holiday itself takes place on August 29, when many miners are on shift.

Earlier, Kursiv reported that apartment rental prices continue to rise in most cities of Kazakhstan. In the first two weeks of August alone – from August 1 to 18 – the median rental price increased by about 3.8%.
