In Karaganda, the circumstances of the death of a five-year-old child are being investigated. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The tragedy occurred on the evening of August 16 in the 23rd microdistrict of Prishakhtinsk during a strong gust of wind.

According to the Department of Internal Affairs of the Karaganda region, the child was in the yard when a tree branch fell on him. The child died from his injuries.

"A criminal case has been opened into the death of the child. Currently, a set of investigative measures is being carried out. The circumstances of the incident are being established," the press service of the department said.

At the same time, according to available information, before the tragedy the tree was not considered dry or emergency: all its branches were green.

Other details are not yet disclosed in the interests of the investigation. The investigation continues.

Earlier, Kursiv wrote about the tragedy in Baum Grove in Almaty. During a walk, a tree fell on 19-year-old Selina Abitova. The girl received severe injuries, including a crushed skull, a hip fracture and an open leg fracture, after which she fell into a coma and was connected to a ventilator. For two weeks, doctors fought for Selina's life, but could not save her.
