A fire occurred on the territory of a multi-specialty hospital on Mukanov Street in Karaganda. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the fire started from stored waste paper, after which the flames spread to the wooden roof structure of a one-story entrance group attached to a five-story building.
Rescuers, together with the hospital administration, evacuated 20 patients to a neighboring block of the building.
The fire was extinguished over an area of 25 square meters. The Ministry noted that the fire did not spread to the main and attached buildings of the hospital.
There were no casualties. The cause of the fire is being established.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that in the Talgar district of the Almaty region, a fire occurred in a workshop producing plastic products on the Kuldzha tract. The extinguishing was complicated by a high fire load, rapid spread of fire, and wall collapse.
An operational headquarters worked at the scene, rescuers ensured uninterrupted water supply and used six water barrels at three combat sites. There were no casualties, and specialists are determining the cause of the fire.
