A person was hit and killed by a train in the Karaganda region. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The tragic incident occurred on September 1. According to the Department of Transport Police, the transport police department at the Karaganda-Sortirovochnaya station opened a criminal case on the grounds of violation of traffic safety rules or operation of railway transport, which negligently led to a person's death.
The police statement reads: "The transport police department at the Karaganda-Sortirovochnaya station opened a criminal case on the grounds of violation of traffic safety rules or operation of railway transport, which negligently led to a person's death."
An investigation is currently underway.
