An investigation is underway in the Karaganda region into the embezzlement of credit funds allocated for spring sowing and harvesting under the «Kең Dala 2» program. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
This was announced by the Financial Monitoring Agency. In May 2025, a loan agreement was concluded between a branch of «Agrarian Credit Corporation» JSC and «Rashan» LLP for the purpose of replenishing working capital.
The fulfillment of obligations under the agreement was guaranteed by «Damu» Entrepreneurship Development Fund» JSC. According to the terms of the agreement, credit funds in the amount of 300 million tenge were transferred to the account of «Rashan» LLP.
Subsequently, these funds were transferred to two LLPs under the pretext of paying expenses for the sowing campaign. In particular, about 148 million tenge was directed to the purchase of seeds, and another 152 million tenge to the rental of agricultural machinery, including fuel and lubricant costs and wages, according to the agency's statement.
However, according to the investigation, in reality no seeds were purchased, no agricultural machinery was rented, and no agricultural crops were sown on the specified land plots.
The director of «Rashan» LLP has been recognized as a suspect. By court sanction, his property has been seized. The investigation continues.
