Akim of Nauryzbay district of Almaty Nazira Togizbayeva showed journalists a new residential complex. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
Together with media representatives, the akim visited new facilities and personally spoke about the implementation of key projects and development prospects of the district.
Residential complex in Kalkaman-2
The first point of the route was a residential complex in the Kalkaman-2 microdistrict. Here, within the framework of the Concept for the Development of Housing and Communal Infrastructure until 2029, a large-scale project for the construction of multi-apartment residential buildings with public service facilities is being implemented.
The project started in April 2024. The general contractor is KazstroyPodryad LLP. The facility is planned to be fully commissioned in August of this year.
As the district akim noted, the project has important social significance and is aimed at providing Almaty residents with affordable and comfortable housing. Modern multi-apartment buildings are being erected on seven construction sites, providing 594 apartments with a total area of more than 34 thousand square meters.
"As you know, one of the priority areas repeatedly emphasized by the head of state is the construction of affordable quality infrastructure, affordable housing should be. And in the Nauryzbay district over the past five years, more than 5,600 apartments have been allocated only to socially vulnerable segments of the population. Over the past three years alone, we have built more than one million square meters of housing. Of these, more than 710 are economy-class housing," the district akim noted.
Future residents will have access to 184 one-room, 248 two-room and 162 three-room apartments. Internal construction and finishing works have been fully completed. Currently, the main efforts are focused on the improvement of the adjacent territory: sidewalks are being installed, landscaping and creation of a comfortable environment for residents are underway.

During the press tour, journalists were able to familiarize themselves with the progress of work, assess the degree of readiness of the houses and ask questions to representatives of the contractor organization and the district akimat.
"This residential complex has very comfortable apartments. The project consists of seven nine-story residential buildings. All necessary infrastructure is provided here. In addition, each building has passenger and freight elevators. The apartments are handed over with fine finishing. This allows residents to move in immediately after receiving housing, without incurring additional repair costs," said Dias Kabdygaliyev, a representative of the contractor organization KazStroyPodryad LLP.
According to Nazira Togizbayeva, the development of housing infrastructure remains one of the priorities of the Nauryzbay district, which today is one of the fastest-growing districts of the metropolis. The implementation of such projects allows not only to increase the housing stock, but also to form modern urban spaces with the necessary social and engineering infrastructure.
"Today, 176 multi-apartment residential buildings are under construction. The total area is 443 square meters. In total, 6,165 apartments are being built. Of these, economy-class housing – 64 residential buildings will be built this year. This is 208 thousand square meters of housing. This means that this year 3,625 families will be provided with housing," the district akim emphasized.
The completion of construction and improvement of the residential complex in Kalkaman-2 will be another step in providing Almaty residents with quality and affordable housing.
