The Astana Police Department has stated that information about an alleged rape involving singer Kairat Nurtas has not been confirmed. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The police provided a comment in response to a request from Kursiv. The investigation was prompted by social media posts. Earlier, the Telegram channel EGOV.PRESS reported that a message about an alleged rape mentioning Kairat Nurtas was circulating in police chats.
The published screenshot claimed that on July 10, 2026, the duty unit of the Yesil District Police Department in Astana received a report that a female complainant had been raped at the The Ritz-Carlton hotel at 16 Dostyk Street.
The message also stated that the complainant, a girl born in 2006, is registered as a person providing intimate services. According to the screenshot text, around 04:00 the girl came to room 514 of the The Ritz-Carlton hotel, where she was allegedly invited by clients to provide intimate services. The message further claimed that a conflict arose between her and a man whose name matches the full name of Kairat Nurtas, because the girl was filming him with her phone.
The circulating message also said that Kairat Nurtas allegedly paid 240,000 tenge for intimate services. According to the screenshot, the man explained that the service was paid for by his acquaintance from Almaty, whose details he did not provide.
The Astana Police Department told Kursiv that the information about the rape was not confirmed. "An inspection was carried out in accordance with the procedures established by law," the police said.
It was preliminarily established that a conflict arose between two hotel visitors on personal grounds, which has now been resolved. The complainant withdrew her claims.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that Ukrainian singer Svetlana Loboda and Kairat Nurtas released a joint music video for the song "Sen meni küt" ("Wait for Me"), recorded with the participation of JAMAL & GANJA. The video is made in a futuristic style: according to the plot, Nurtas's character tries to find and keep his beloved, but in the end remains alone.
