Russian President Vladimir Putin is ready to receive US President's special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner again if they come to Russia. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, in an interview with the Vesti information service, noted that it matters what proposals they bring.
"We do not refuse to talk with them (with Witkoff and Kushner - ed.). If they come, Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin knows he is ready to receive them again. The question depends on what proposal they come with," Lavrov said.
The Russian side takes the position that if Witkoff and Kushner are trusted in the US, "they have influence on the US President, and the President trusts them."
Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov reported that Russian and US Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump discussed the issue of settling the situation in Ukraine by phone on July 4. The American leader said Witkoff and Kushner are ready to go to Moscow at a convenient time.
Later, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said Moscow would promptly organize Witkoff's and Kushner's visit to Russia once their specific plans are determined.
