Russian President Vladimir Putin met with North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son-hui. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, Putin highly appraised bilateral relations between Russia and the DPRK and expressed gratitude to the leadership and people of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea for their assistance in the special military operation.

He also noted that the feats of Korean soldiers who supported Russian forces and received state awards will never be forgotten in Russia.

Choe Son-hui in turn thanked for the warm words and stated that DPRK leader Kim Jong-un has once again reaffirmed his commitment to the strategic course of comprehensive development of relations with the Russian Federation.
