Russian President Vladimir Putin will spend his 74th birthday on October 7, 2026, in a working mode, combining his personal celebration with addressing state and international issues. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

Kremlin representatives — presidential aide Yuri Ushakov and press secretary Dmitry Peskov — said the Russian leader's schedule for that day includes business events.

Despite this, Peskov emphasized that the main thing for Putin on this personal holiday remains the opportunity to receive congratulations from family and friends.

Immediately after his birthday, on October 8 and 9, according to the Kremlin press service, Putin will take part in a meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State. A Caspian Environmental Summit is also planned as part of this trip. One of the main topics will be the shrinking of the Caspian Sea, and an environmental declaration is expected to be adopted following the meeting.

During the Caspian Environmental Summit, the presidents of Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Iran and Turkmenistan will consider practical issues of cooperation among the Caspian states in the environmental sphere, including measures to prevent the shallowing of the Caspian and preserve its biological resources.

Earlier, Kursiv wrote about the birthday of Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. This year, on May 17, the head of state turned 73. He traditionally celebrated his holiday at work.

Dozens of congratulations were sent to the president from leaders of foreign states and governments. And Putin was the first to congratulate Tokayev.
