Kazakhstan will create a unified state register of psychologists. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
As stated at a meeting in the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, the document forms the legal basis for the implementation of psychological activities and defines uniform requirements for the professional activities of psychologists. It is also aimed at protecting the rights and legitimate interests of citizens when receiving psychological assistance.
In accordance with the law "On Psychological Activities", the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population will be responsible for maintaining the state register of psychologists, developing a code of professional ethics, as well as preparing other regulatory legal acts provided for by law.
Currently, the ministry is developing the necessary regulatory framework. Issues of introducing the state register of psychologists in digital format and its integration with existing state information systems are also being worked out.
In addition, in order to effectively implement the requirements of the law, interaction with professional communities, government agencies and interested organizations will be established.
