The prosecutor's office of Saryagash district found that 89 people registered for narcological and psychiatric care had been issued driver's licenses. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

According to the prosecutor's office of Turkestan region, the Saryagash district prosecutor's office conducted an analysis of compliance with legislation in the field of protecting citizens' life and health and ensuring safety. The analysis revealed that 89 people registered for narcological and psychiatric care, who had medical contraindications to driving, possessed driver's licenses and were allowed to drive vehicles.

In accordance with legal requirements, persons with mental and behavioral disorders, as well as disorders related to the use of psychoactive substances, are not allowed to drive if they have medical contraindications. Based on the prosecutor's supervision act, a court decision terminated the driving rights of these individuals. As a result of prosecutorial measures, responsible officials were held accountable in accordance with the established procedure.
