Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov instructed to complete the modernization of railway stations on time. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

At today's government meeting, the Prime Minister called these works a "social project". "Because it is aimed at improving passenger infrastructure, providing comfortable and high-quality services to the population. All necessary measures have been taken by the government. Akims should personally monitor the progress of facility modernization every week, ensuring the approved schedule and quality of work," said Bektenov.

The head of government also ordered an increase in workforce and technical equipment. "30 renovated stations should receive their first passengers by July 1. Except for restoration work at the historic stations of Astana, Almaty and Turkistan, work on the remaining stations must be completed by October 1," the Prime Minister emphasized.

It is worth noting that the largest program of railway station modernization since independence was launched last year. Recently, the first two renovated facilities were put into operation in the Abai region.
