Portuguese police seized more than 2.6 tonnes of cocaine off the country's coast. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Reuters.
The seizure operation took place off the southern coast of Portugal. Police officers intercepted the cocaine as it was being unloaded from a vessel. This is one of the largest drug busts in the country's history.
The market value of the seized cocaine has not yet been determined. Police are continuing their investigation.
