Polish Air Force duty fighters and allied aircraft were scrambled. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

The Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces said in a message on X that military aircraft were scrambled "due to the activity of Russian long-range aviation on the territory of Ukraine." Air defense systems and radar surveillance equipment were also put on high alert.

Recently, Polish military have been regularly issuing such reports. This usually coincides with air raid alerts in Ukraine. According to the NaTemat news portal, frequent scrambles due to alleged Russian aviation activity over Ukraine are costing taxpayers.

According to official data from the Ministry of National Defense, one hour of flight of an F-16 fighter costs 76-77 thousand zlotys (about 21 thousand US dollars).
