Poland has transferred five to six missiles for the Patriot air defense system to Ukraine. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Deputy Minister of National Defense Cezary Tomczyk stated that these missiles are individual combat units, not part of a Patriot battery. He said: "One should not confuse a Patriot battery and a full-fledged system with several missiles. Four, five or six combat units are only a small part of the overall capability of the system."

Earlier, Deputy Speaker of the Polish Sejm Krzysztof Bosak said that Warsaw had transferred Patriot missiles purchased for its air defense system to Ukraine. Meanwhile, head of the International Policy Bureau of the Presidential Office Marcin Przydacz stated that Poland had transferred its queue for purchasing Patriot missiles from the US to Ukraine.

According to Tomczyk, the Polish presidential office was informed in advance about the transfer of missiles to Ukraine. "On April 9, the director of the Military Counterintelligence Service, General Jarosław Stróżyk, sent a 16-page letter to the head of the Presidential Office, Zbigniew Bogucki, presenting all information about the transfer of several Patriot missiles to Ukraine and additional details on this matter," he said.

Russia believes that arms supplies to Ukraine hinder conflict resolution, directly involve NATO countries in the conflict, and are "playing with fire." Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that any cargo with weapons destined for Ukraine becomes a legitimate target for Russia.
