Poland will not send weapons purchased under the SAFE credit program to Ukraine. This was announced by the country's Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

The program provides European Union countries with long-term, low-interest loans to strengthen military and strategic infrastructure, purchase weapons, and develop cybersecurity and defense technologies.

Yesterday, Warsaw signed a credit agreement allowing it to receive approximately 43.7 billion euros under this program. "False information is now spreading that all these funds will be sent to Ukraine. No military equipment, not a single part of it (to Ukraine – ed.) will be transferred," Kosiniak-Kamysz said in his speech to the Polish Sejm.

According to the minister, the Polish Armed Forces Support Fund, which receives funds under the SAFE program, will finance only the country's own army. "That is what the law says, and it will be implemented exactly that way," he added.
