The Ministry of Transport has published a list of trains equipped with satellite internet. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Currently, priority is given to creating the most comfortable conditions for the population on trains traveling on socially significant routes. One of the main issues is internet access. Several trains now have satellite internet.
The routes are: - Kyzylorda – Pavlodar - Zhezkazgan – Astana - Astana – Semey - Almaty – Dostyk - Kyzylorda – Kokshetau
To connect to the internet on the train, passengers need to select the Wi-Fi network and go through authorization. After that, they can send text messages via WhatsApp and Telegram messengers.
"In addition, there is an option to purchase a paid tariff that provides full access to internet resources, social networks, video services, and work applications," said ministry specialists.
It is worth noting that earlier, the national company "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" announced the start of work on mass connection of passenger trains to the internet.
