A teenager in the Kostanay region suffered severe injuries after climbing onto a train car to take a photo. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The incident occurred on June 25 at around 21:00 on the territory of the Southern Railway Park of Kostanay station. According to the court, the minor climbed onto a train car that was under a contact wire.

As a result of electric shock, the teenager sustained serious bodily injuries, including third-degree burn shock covering 60% of the body, as well as bruised wounds to the nose and tongue.

For failure to fulfill duties of upbringing and ensuring the safety of the minor, his guardian was brought to administrative responsibility.

In court, the guardian fully admitted guilt. He explained that he is the guardian of his nephew after the death of the boy's mother.

By court order, the man was found guilty of committing an administrative offense and fined 43,250 tenge.

The court order has not entered into legal force.

Earlier, Kursiv reported that in the village of Dolinka, Karaganda region, a 10-year-old boy climbed a power line support and came into contact with about 6,000 volts, after which he fell from a height.
