The Ministry of Education has named the regions that performed best in mathematics and science in the PISA-2025 study. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the international study, Astana and the North Kazakhstan region made it into the top three in all three areas: science, mathematics, and reading literacy, showing high and consistent results.

According to Minister Zuldyz Suleimenova, PISA results should be viewed not only as an assessment of individual regions' achievements, but primarily as a tool for further improving the quality of education.
"It is important to thoroughly study the experience of regions showing consistently high results, identify effective practices, and disseminate them. Also, special attention should be paid to regions whose results require strengthening work," Suleimenova said at a special meeting.
Local administrations and organizations should take appropriate measures to reduce educational disparities.
