In Petropavlovsk, two young children who nearly fell from a fifth-floor window were removed from their family. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The incident occurred on June 15 in a five-story building in the city center. According to preliminary data, the father was sleeping at home, and the mother had gone to buy pizza for the children. Both parents, as reported by the channel, were intoxicated.
At that time, a three-year-old boy and a four-year-old girl climbed onto the windowsill.
Around 9:00 p.m., the children were noticed by Yerzhan Tamyshev, an employee of the processing center of the Department of Internal Affairs of the North Kazakhstan Region. He asked a friend to call 102 and distract the children, while he ran to the entrance.
It turned out that the children were not locked in the apartment. The door was opened to the police by the intoxicated father.
According to the channel, the family came from Zhezkazgan and was renting housing in Petropavlovsk. Previously, the parents had been repeatedly brought to administrative responsibility.
"The police officers have collected materials. Today we will consider the parents at the commission on juvenile affairs, after which measures will be taken to send the materials to court for restriction or deprivation of parental rights," said Alibek Gabdullin, head of the public security department of the Department of Internal Affairs of the North Kazakhstan Region.
The children were removed from the family. The guardianship authorities placed them in the Center for Adaptation of Minors.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that a four-year-old girl fell from a third-floor window in Pavlodar.
