In Petropavlovsk, rescuers removed two people from the second-floor balcony of a hotel. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to preliminary data, the cause of the incident was an air conditioner short circuit, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
How the fire happened
It all happened in a two-story hotel on Novaya Street. After the short circuit, furniture caught fire in one of the rooms. The area was about 2 square meters.
Firefighters arrived at the scene four minutes after the call. Two people on the balcony were lowered using a three-section ladder.
