Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov stated that a final settlement of the conflict in Ukraine is impossible without the participation of a representative from the Kyiv side who is ready to assume responsibility. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

This was written by RIA Novosti. Peskov responded this way to journalists' question about whether Russian President Vladimir Putin is considering the possibility of reaching a peace agreement without Ukraine's direct participation in negotiations.

"Of course, absolutely, a final settlement is impossible without the participation of a person ready to assume responsibility from the Kyiv side," he said.

Thus, the Kremlin representative once again confirmed the need for Kyiv's direct participation in the process of settling the conflict in Ukraine. According to Peskov, without a representative ready to assume responsibility, achieving a final peace agreement is impossible.

Earlier, information appeared that the US and Europe are developing a new plan for settling the conflict in Ukraine. However, the Russian side noted that the effectiveness of such plans without Kyiv's participation would be limited.
