A large-scale inspection of perinatal centers is being conducted in Kazakhstan. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to information from the Ministry of Health, until August 15, all 69 medical organizations providing delivery services will undergo a large-scale inspection.
"The Committee for Sanitary and Epidemiological Control will assess compliance with infection control requirements, focusing on maximizing the safety of mothers and newborns, as well as strengthening measures to prevent hospital-acquired infections," said ministry specialists.
In addition, the Minister of Health ordered a review of methods for investigating infection cases, updating sanitary rules and state control checklists with a priority on prevention, as well as providing an objective assessment of the causes of each infection case.
The main goal is to increase the effectiveness of the infection control system. Regional health departments must organize systematic training on infection control issues. Based on the inspection results, roadmaps will be approved in each region to further improve the infection control system.
