A scandal is brewing in Pavlodar around the private kindergarten 'Igilik'. Surveillance camera footage has appeared on social media, which, according to parents, shows caregivers mistreating children. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The video was reportedly sent to the vseobovsem_pvl public page by the mother of one of the kindergarten's pupils. The woman said that her three-year-old daughter had recently become afraid to go to kindergarten, complained about the caregiver, woke up at night, and cried.
Concerned parents decided to review the surveillance footage.
'What I saw shocked me,' the woman wrote in an appeal published on social media.
According to her, the footage shows kindergarten staff treating children rudely, using physical force, and even hitting the children with a spoon.
The mother appealed to the competent authorities to conduct a thorough investigation and take measures to ensure the safety of the pupils.
The Police Department of Pavlodar Region reported that a criminal case has been initiated on this fact.
'A criminal case has been opened on the fact of improper performance of duties for the upbringing of a minor. The circumstances and causes of the incident will be established during the investigation,' the police reported.
Currently, law enforcement agencies are clarifying all the details of the incident.
