A woman was detained in Pavlodar for driving under the influence of alcohol. She got behind the wheel while intoxicated and was involved in a road accident. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
To avoid detention, the woman obtained a fake medical certificate confirming pregnancy. Thanks to this document, she escaped responsibility. However, later the prosecutor's office found that the certificate was forged, and by court decision the woman was arrested for 20 days.
In addition, the person who falsified evidence and received a bribe was fined 6.6 million tenge and banned from working in public service for life. Following the incident, the prosecutor's office strengthened control over the issuance of medical documents and brought 5 officials to disciplinary responsibility.
