An emergency occurred at Pavlodar CHP-2: two workers sought medical help. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
"During start-up operations at boiler unit No. 5 at Pavlodar CHP-2, a pipeline was damaged, causing a brief acoustic effect (loud sound)," representatives of Pavlodarenergo JSC reported.
At the time of the incident, employees of a contractor organization were carrying out major repairs at boiler unit No. 4. One worker complained of ear congestion and temporary hearing loss, while the second complained of pain in the ankle area.
After examination at a medical facility, the workers were sent home. The regional labor inspectorate stated that no complaints were received from the workers, as their injuries were not severe.
