A pipeline depressurization occurred at Pavlodar CHP-2, accompanied by a loud noise. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to Pavlodarenergo JSC, two workers from a contractor organization sought medical help after the incident.
"During startup operations on boiler unit No. 5 at Pavlodar CHP-2, a pipeline depressurization occurred. At the same time, capital repair work was being carried out on boiler unit No. 4. One employee of the contractor organization complained of deafness, and the second of pain in the ankle area," the company's press service reported.
After examination at a medical facility, both workers were discharged. According to the press service, their condition is not a cause for concern.
The enterprise emphasized that the operation of the station's equipment is under control.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that at the beginning of 2026, the Central Asian Electric Power Corporation, owned by millionaires Alexander Klebanov and Sergey Kan, transferred Pavlodar's heating networks to the state free of charge.
