In the Pavlodar region, emergency workers rescued a 67-year-old man who began to drown while swimming in Lake Zhasibai. Thanks to the prompt actions of the rescuers, the pensioner was revived. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The day before, vigilant Kazakhs vacationing on the lake called 112 as soon as they realized that the man in the water needed urgent help. In turn, rescuers quickly reached the victim by boat and delivered him to the shore.
"The rescuers who arrived at the scene used a swimming device to extract the man born in 1959 from the water. On the shore, resuscitation measures were immediately carried out, after which the victim was handed over to the ambulance team," the statement said.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds that during recreation on the water, it is necessary to follow safety rules and not overestimate one's strength. Rescuers also reminded that swimming is only allowed in specially designated areas.
Two days ago, Kursiv reported that two Kazakhs drowned in the Kapshagai reservoir in Konayev. The tragedy occurred on July 1 near the "Dzhasa" recreation area. According to the Department of Emergency Situations, a young woman born in 2006 and a man born in 2004 were swimming in an unapproved location. They could not be saved.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that in the Zhetysu region, a storm on Lake Alakol nearly swept a family of nine, including seven children, into the depths. Rescuers managed to bring everyone back to shore. No medical assistance was required.
