In Pavlodar region, individuals who extorted money from students and schoolchildren have been detained. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

In the city of Ekibastuz, a minor college student together with an acquaintance took the victim by car and used force against him. They are suspected of extorting 50 thousand tenge.

In the city of Pavlodar, two schoolchildren demanded that their peers pawn valuable items and give them the proceeds. Compromising video materials were used to pressure some victims.

According to the head of the regional organized crime department, Gabit Kabdrakhmanov, criminal cases have been opened on both incidents. The suspects were detained while receiving money. Law enforcement agencies continue to identify other possible participants and check for additional episodes.

The police warned that creating criminal groups among young people, establishing criminal influence, and extorting money are severely punished by law.
