Thousands of hectares of agricultural land have been returned to the state in Pavlodar region, the regional prosecutor's office reports. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

The prosecutor's office of the Irtysh district identified facts of inefficient use of agricultural land with a total area of 89 thousand hectares. As a result of the analysis conducted by the prosecutor's office, it was found that 54 land users used agricultural land in violation of land legislation requirements.

Materials on 15 cases concerning land plots with a total area of over 56 thousand hectares were sent to the Department of Land Resources Management of Pavlodar region for action and appropriate inspections.

As a result of the measures taken, 2,531.2 hectares of pasture land with a cadastral value of over 18 million tenge were returned to state ownership. The returned land plots have been included in the special land fund of the Irtysh district.

In the future, they will be provided to citizens for farming and peasant farming in accordance with the procedure established by law.
