A murder committed 14 years ago in the Pavlodar region has been solved. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the regional prosecutor's office, in 2012, the body of an elderly woman with signs of violent death was found on the territory of one of the garden plots in the city of Pavlodar.
This criminal case had long been among unsolved crimes. Nevertheless, work to identify the suspect did not stop.
As a result of the work carried out by prosecutors and the operational-investigative group, as well as the use of modern methods of forensic research, a 62-year-old native of the Uspen district of the Pavlodar region was detained on suspicion of involvement in the crime.
A number of forensic examinations were carried out, and the necessary evidence was collected. After that, the criminal case was sent to court.
