Six employees of Aqtogai Milk LLP died while working in a sewer manhole on a dairy farm in Pavlodar region; one man was hospitalized. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

Information appeared on social media that six employees of the dairy farm Aqtogai Milk LLP died while working in a sewer manhole. The Pavlodar Regional Police Department confirmed the information to Kursiv.

According to social media, medics at the scene confirmed the deaths of men born in 1963, 1975, 1983, 1998, 2006, and 2008. The sole survivor is a 38-year-old man. He was hospitalized with carbon dioxide poisoning.

Preliminary information indicates that the workers were fixing a malfunction in an electric pump installed in the sewer manhole.

Police have opened a criminal case regarding the incident.

"In accordance with Article 201 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, other information is not subject to disclosure," police concluded.

Last week, an equally horrifying incident occurred: in one of the capital's hotels, a woman gave birth to a child and threw it into the sewer. According to social media, the mother had a premature birth at six months of pregnancy. Police reported that a pre-trial investigation is underway into the discovery of the child in the sewer.

Earlier, Kursiv reported that two workers died while repairing a sewer in the North Kazakhstan region.
