Pavlodar Airport has resumed regular air service after reconstruction of its runway. The first flight after the repair was on the Astana – Pavlodar – Astana route. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv.

Runway upgrade

During the reconstruction, the runway was upgraded and widened from 45 to 60 meters. This will allow the airport to accommodate modern aircraft and improve flight safety.

Subsidized flights

Currently, subsidized flights have been launched on the Astana – Pavlodar – Astana route. They will be operated four times a week by Vietjet Qazaqstan.

"The one-way ticket price will be 15,000 tenge," the ministry clarified.

Ticket sales for this route began in the first half of August.

Commercial flights

Starting September 1, commercial flights are also planned to resume. FlyArystan will fly daily on the Pavlodar – Almaty – Pavlodar route. On the same day, S7 Airlines plans to launch international flights from Pavlodar to Novosibirsk. Flights will operate seven times a week.

Previous closure

Recall that Pavlodar Airport was closed for reconstruction on April 1, 2025. All flights were canceled from that period.

Earlier, Kursiv reported that Arkalyk Airport completed construction and all necessary certification procedures. The first flight is planned to be received at the airport on August 22.
