It may take several years for Ukraine to launch production of Patriot interceptor missiles, even if the US grants a license. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the British newspaper Financial Times, Ukraine may need several years to acquire the necessary technologies and create a full-fledged supply system for missile production. Therefore, this agreement will not solve the problem in the near future.
However, allies may be ready to provide Ukraine with missiles from their own stocks, as they will be confident that these stocks will be replenished later, the publication wrote.
At the end of July, US President Donald Trump, in an interview with the Financial Times, said he could not say definitively whether a license would be granted for the production of Patriot anti-aircraft missiles in Ukraine, noting that the issue is still under consideration.
