Missiles for the Patriot air defense system may not be produced in Ukraine. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Reuters, citing sources, reported that new interceptor missiles could be produced in Germany or another European country to avoid them becoming targets for possible Russian strikes on Ukrainian territory.

On Wednesday, US President Donald Trump met with Vladimir Zelensky on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Ankara. During the talks, Trump stated that Ukraine could be granted a license to produce Patriot systems.

According to RIA Novosti, production under such a license is currently established only in Japan and Germany.

Moscow has repeatedly warned Western countries that arms supplies to Kyiv will not change the situation but will only prolong the conflict. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov noted that any such military cargo becomes a legitimate target for Russia.
