American rapper and producer P. Diddy (Sean Combs) may be released from prison on January 21, 2028. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
Previously, it was expected that the artist would spend several more months behind bars. According to USA Today, the Federal Bureau of Prisons has once again revised Combs's release date. Initially, he was due to be released in April 2028. The date was then moved to May 8, and later to February 5, 2028. Now it has shifted forward by almost two more weeks.
Combs is currently serving a 50-month sentence at the federal prison FCI Fort Dix. In October 2025, a jury found him guilty on two counts of transporting people across state lines for prostitution. At the same time, he was acquitted of the most serious charges — racketeering and sex trafficking.
After the verdict, his release date has changed several times. The sentence was also reduced taking into account the provisions of the American First Step Act. The inmate's behavior may also affect the release date. A representative of P. Diddy, Juda Engelmayer, said that the artist's side does not know why the Federal Bureau continues to change the release date.
After leaving prison, Combs will have to remain under supervision for another five years. The court also imposed a number of restrictions on him.
