Otbasy Bank has dismissed employees who illegally advanced the housing queue and forged documents. This was reported in the annual report of the financial institution. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The bank's report states that in 2025, several corruption facts were revealed among bank employees who received illegal remuneration for advancing the housing queue in the interests of clients, realtors, private bailiffs and notaries.
Also, one of the branch employees forged income documents confirming clients' solvency to include them in loan applications. The employer terminated contracts with these employees, the bank reported.
In addition, the bank filed a request to bring these employees to criminal responsibility. Investigations into criminal cases are ongoing.
Otbasy Bank is the operator of state housing programs in Kazakhstan, including providing housing to socially vulnerable groups.
