The facade of the new Bishkek Arena has undergone its first dynamic lighting test. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to 24.KG, the largest stadium in Central Asia lit up with colorful lights in the evening, and a test video was published by the Administration of the President of Kyrgyzstan.
The footage shows the arena's facade gradually changing colors, showcasing the capabilities of the modern lighting system.
Construction of the Bishkek Arena is planned to be completed by the end of August 2026. The new stadium will host the opening ceremony of the 6th World Nomad Games. The event is expected to be attended by heads of state arriving in Kyrgyzstan for the SCO summit.
The Bishkek Arena has a diameter of 280 meters and a height of 70 meters. The project was designed by architect Mahamad Rakhmatali uulu. Initially, the stadium was to seat 45,000 spectators, but it was expanded to 51,000 seats to host the Asian Cup final. This will make it the largest stadium not only in Kyrgyzstan but also surpassing new stadiums planned to open in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
