Four matches kicked off the 24th round of the Kazakhstan Premier League on Saturday, August 29. League leaders Ordabasy thrashed Kyzylzhar, Okzhetpes defeated Kaisar, and Ulytau and Zhenis also secured three points each. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

Ordabasy cruised past Kyzylzhar at home – 3:0. Brazilian Leo Natel opened the scoring as early as the ninth minute, Ghanaian David Abagna extended the Shymkent side's lead after the break, and Everton netted the third. Andrei Martin's team collected 55 points, increasing their gap over Kairat to seven points, though the Almaty side have two games in hand.

The most productive match of the day took place in Kyzylorda. Okzhetpes led Kaisar 2:0 by the 28th minute thanks to goals from Oralkhan Omirtayev and Nurgaini Buribayev. Nurali Zhaksylyk pulled one back for the hosts, and after the break Boris Lototsky and Ramazan Bagdat exchanged goals – 3:2 in favor of the visitors. The Kokshetau side earned 39 points, leveling with third-placed Astana, who have two games in reserve.

In Zhezkazgan, Ulytau thrashed Zhetysu. The first goal came from an own goal by Taldykorgan's Nurbek Anuarbekov after a corner. In the second half, Hiroki Harada doubled the hosts' lead, and Ilya Chernyak made it a rout in stoppage time. Ulytau reached 31 points and climbed to seventh place, while Zhetysu, with 19 points, remained in the relegation zone.

Zhenis secured a second consecutive victory. The only goal against Altai came from Croatian Andrija Filipovich in the 67th minute. Eight minutes later, he could have scored a brace but missed a penalty. With this win, the capital club reached 29 points and sits in eighth place.

The 24th round continues on August 30 with matches Irtysh – Aktobe, Kaspiy – Tobol, and Atyrau – Astana. The central fixture of the round between Yelimay and Kairat will take place on August 31 in Semey. A win would allow the reigning champion to once again reduce the gap to Ordabasy.
