Kazakhstan championship leaders Ordabasy and Kairat won with the same score 3:1 in the 22nd round of the KPL. Almaty team beat Ulytau, Shymkent team defeated Altai. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
Before the match with Ordabasy, the Ust-Kamenogorsk team unexpectedly added to their points tally. The KFF awarded Altai a 3:0 victory over Kyzylzhar. The 21st round game, held on August 8, ended in a 2:2 draw. However, it later became known that Ukrainian midfielder of the Petropavlovsk team Alexander Noyok had no right to take the field. Why this was discovered after the match, not before, is an interesting question. But be that as it may, Kyzylzhar was punished with a technical defeat.
Having received support in the fight for survival, Altai nevertheless did not find weighty arguments against the leader. Already on the 4th minute, Shymkent player Sergei Malyi scored his trademark header. And on the 38th minute, Norwegian Bjorn Johnsen ended his two-match goal drought. He also converted a penalty at the end of the match. In between the Scandinavian's goals, Altai's Ibragim Dadaev scored.
Kairat's press service treated the postponement of the match with Ulytau from the Central Stadium of Almaty to the club's Academy field with a bit of humor. The poster prepared for the game clearly hinted that on August 15 there would be something to watch besides the postponed rap star concert.

The debut of Bosnian coach Vladimir Sliskovic, who replaced Ali Aliev at the helm of Zhenis, was successful.
